Use this story to prompt discussion about speaking up for others! Ask students to share how Molly Lou was an upstander in the story.

Say Something! by Peter Reynolds

This book gives children examples of many different ways of speaking up; we can say something with our words, actions, and art. Challenge students to choose one of the examples from the book to practice saying something that day!

I Walk with Vanessa by Kerascoet

This book is a wordless picture book, so it's great for building comprehension at any age! Ask students to share what they notice is happening on each page. Then ask students about the author's message of the story.
